Meet Tony Reid

Founder & Principal Advisor

Tony Reid is a commercially focused leader with a strong engineering foundation and more than two decades of experience across technology, innovation and advanced engineering. Known for his calm, people-centred approach, he provides clarity and steady judgement in moments when direction feels less clear and teams need calm, grounded direction. His style supports the development of inclusive, collaborative and high-performing cultures where people feel able to contribute and work effectively together.

His leadership style was shaped through competitive sailing, where strategy, trust and composure under pressure were essential. After moving into technology, Tony founded and grew a tech start-up, giving him first-hand insight into the realities of market entry, investment pressures and the emotional demands of building something from the ground up. This lived founder experience continues to shape the practical, empathetic guidance he brings to the organisations he works with.

Tony later served as Commercial Director at IAAPS, shaping commercial strategy, forging partnerships and delivering impact across hydrogen, electrification, robotics and low-carbon propulsion. This experience now helps founders and technical leaders navigate complex stakeholder environments with confidence. Colleagues describe him as a thoughtful collaborator who listens carefully, communicates clearly and builds trust quickly — especially in high-stakes or fast-moving situations.
